As CIMR enters the 21st century, its founding purposes remain the same: to bring the latest technological advances to regional and local medical practice; to attract medical investigation leaders of the highest quality to the community; to provide a place for local physicians and other researchers to pursue research and service programs; and to contribute to medical progress in general. Pursuit of our mission takes on increased urgency in the face of diminished federal and state support for medical research, continued population growth and changing demographics and increasingly complex healthcare issues that affect our community.
We are grateful for the support we have received since our inception. We extend an open invitation to prospective partners to consider CIMR as the vehicle to participate in the dedication to progress in medicine. CIMR has helped thousands of families in the community by providing valuable resources such as the Mother’s Milk Bank and Western Transplantation Services.
With your help, additional community programs and research can be developed to enhance healthcare in the Bay Area. Equipping our distinguished scientists with the facilities and funding they need to continue their pioneering work is provided primarily through public funding.
