Clinical Tests

Since 1976, our Infectious Disease Research laboratory clinical division specializes in performing susceptibility tests for human pathogenic fungi, and determination of antifungal drug concentrations, in serum and other body fluids, in patient specimens. We are also one of the few labs capable of performing tests on the biohazardous fungus, Coccidioides. The lab holds a California state clinical lab license and is certified by CLIA and the Federal Medicare program.

To order clinical tests, please use the Requisition form and follow the instructions specified there.

The lab offers notification of the sender (and/or patient’s physician) on the day the result is available, in addition to a mailed paper copy.

Specimen can be delivered to us within 24 hours by: The US postal service or air couriers (FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc.)
